Harbour Inn

Location / Porthleven

With waterfront views of Britain’s most southerly port, this bustling quayside pub was in need of some well deserved attention.

After a 4 month closure, the Harbour Inn, Porthleven was reopened after an extensive refurbishment. The design looked to create a more cohesive brand identity, and marry together the 15 cosy boutique letting rooms, and the busy bar & dining areas with a sense of nautical charm. Retaining existing features of chunky beams and stone walls, the scheme was given a sense of rustic homeliness with warm rust fabrics against a palette of earthy greens and muted blues, perfect for emulating the portside environment, whatever the weather.

After delving into St Austell’s archives, items such as historic beer labels and local adverts were included within the artwork scheme and telling a small part of St Austell’s brewing history story.
